Wyatt hit 4 months last weekend. He is growing so fast and becoming more interactive which has been tons of fun.
Doc said he had a big head, a couple times. Actually, it is measuring beyond 97% of all babies his age. His height is about 95% at 26.5inches, and his weight is about 80% at 15.9 lbs.
Just in case you wanted to compare to his 2 month visit, he was 13.3 lbs and 24.5 inches long.
I think we have a handle on his stomach issue. Doctor put him on lactulose for his intense pushing and straining just to poop. It made him a very unhappy baby at night. He has been sleeping through the night since about 6 weeks and lactulose was keeping him up. It got to the point that one night I saw every hour starting at 11:00pm until finally getting up at 7:00am. It was awful and I tossed the lactulose in the trash. I told the doctor we won't be going back on it and she suggested prune/apple juice mixed with water/breastmilk and miralax. Score! This has been wonderful. He poops at least 3 times a day now and hardly ever strains. Seriously, my life revolves around this guy pooping and those at work are pretty sick of hearing about it. Ha! Ah well. We call it his poop juice. It doesn't need an explanation but the prune juice makes it poo colored too. Ha! He enjoys the poop juice and takes it each night around 7:00pm because it usually doesn't make him poop for about 12 hours.
Enough about pooping (no promises, though), Wyatt took his first plane trip this weekend. (We've actually had a lot going on that I have not blogged about but I seriously plan to do a photo dump (ha, no pun intended) of all his cuteness taken by my phone. This week, maybe? Back to his flight story. We got delayed twice. We were suppose to leave around noon and ended up finally leaving around 1:30pm. I had kept him awake all morning in preparation that he would sleep on the plane. He snoozed at the airport before we ever got on the plane because it just got to be too much. Ha! He was so kind and pooped just before we were boarding (I lied). Perfect timing! They had extra seats on the plane so we took his car seat along. He fed on the way up to prevent his from hurting because of the pressure. We were hardly in the air and he was out. (He gets this from me. I seem to fall asleep before take off - ya know, planes are just that comfortable. just kidding!) He slept the whole flight and woke up about 10 minutes before we touched down. He then pooped about 3 minutes before we touched down (lied again)... PERFECT TIMING! This dude has some awesome timing. We were in the very back so I had time to change him before we got off the flight. We made it through our first flight like a champ. He was very excited to see his daddy once we got to baggage claim. We've had a great weekend visiting daddy who made the move to our new home of Harrisonburg, Va just over a week ago. It was great visiting him and we head home tonight. We will see how Wyatt handles his second plane ride. Fingers crossed!!
Here are his 4 months pictures that I took last weekend..
