It was a BIG travel weekend this weekend and luckily the team brought home two wins. It is always nice to win on the road. The team drove while I flew... thank god although my flying wasn't all peaches and cream. The airplane seats really hurt my back so no relaxing for me. The big difference is the flights last an hour and the bus drive was 8-10+ hours. I'll take it because it could have been much worse.
Anyway, here is an update on my countdown... I'm so excited for everything coming up...
- 1.5 weeks until HALLOWEEN
- 2 weeks until BABY OUREN'S BABY SHOWER
- 5 weeks until THANKSGIVING
- 8 weeks until Wyatt is considered FULL TERM
- 9.5 weeks until CHRISTMAS
- 10.5 weeks until NEW YEARS
- 11 weeks until DUE DATE
- How far along? 29 weeks 2 days... 11 to go until due day!
- Baby is the size of a... Butternut Squash
- Total weight gain: 27 at the doctor's appointment. Not too bad in my eyes. I think I am right on track and think my weight gain has slowed a little which is nice... on my back at least. Everything checked out nicely and Wyatt had a strong heartbeat of 150.
- Maternity clothes? Yelp, and some will be put to good use today when we head out for our maternity pictures. :)
- Stretch marks? still none which I am excited about.
- Sleep: oh sleep.. it was just okay. The third trimester has proved to be way different than the second. I am MUCH more tired, to the point that I feel like a toddler that NEEDS a nap everyday to continue functioning. The tiredness hit an extreme level this past week. I tend to be getting up more at night for those darn restroom breaks. I also tend to not be able to sleep for long periods of time without becoming uncomfortable. I miss that deep REM sleep. I'm usually a really good sleeper but when I wake up, I don't feel like a sleep hard. I've also hit a new level of HOT. Oh boy, do I get hot quickly. Our weather here has been a tease too. One day it is nice and breezy then the next it is hot again. I just want cold weather consistently already. Anyway, all in all I've gotta find some positive about the third trimester. It has proved to be the worst so far.
- Best moment this week: Hubby and I headed down to the hospital one night for a breastfeeding class. Shame on me for scheduling it during a Giants game. I did make a deal with him that if there wasn't any other guys in the class that he could go to a sports bar while I was in the 2 hour class. Turns out there were about 7 guys and he stayed through the whole thing. Ha! :) We have a hospital tour next week which should be exciting as the hospital is brand new and we've only seen two floors.
- Miss anything? working out and over easy eggs.. still the same.. I've been thinking about those over easy eggs more and more. - In the past, I've read some post from other bloggers about how at some point in the pregnancy, they just want their body back. A pretty selfish thing to say but seriously, the back pain just makes me want little Wyatt out already. I want to be comfortable again. Don't get me wrong, it is still too early for him to come so please please please stay in there and GROW!! :)
- Movement: yes, yes, yes... I love it!
- Food cravings: still burgers. :/
- Food aversions: salads
- Gender: BOY!!!! BOY!!!! BOY!!!!
- Labor signs: nope
- Symptoms: really, at this point I think you know.
- Belly Button in or out? oh so very shallow.... one more week and I'll be pretty close to flat.
- Wedding rings on or off? Well I made the decision to take them off before the big travel weekend. I didn't want my hands swelling for the plane flights and getting stuck. It feels so weird but at least I won't have to get them cut off later.
- Baby Purchases this week? not really a baby purchase, but I had to buy another jar of my wonder lotion. Anything to try and avoid bad stretch marks.
- Looking forward to: I had been looking forward to graduating to the 2 week appointments but since my pregnancy is going so well she said nope, 4 more weeks will be the next time I see you. Dang it! I thought for sure but oh well. Maybe next time. I am really looking forward to the baby shower in 2 weeks. EKK! I can't wait!
