So this past week/weekend, Wyatt and I headed out of town Wednesday. We went to Monroe, LA and New Orleans, LA with the sand volleyball team to compete. We stayed three nights in a hotel and it was the first trip for Wyatt. He could not have been a better baby. It did AWESOME. This kid had a blast and was the best baby. I think he only cried once in the car with our cousin Dana and Faith. Soooo he was a little hungry and traffic wasn't cooperating.
We left Wednesday at 7:00pm. His normal bed time is about 8:30pm so when he fell asleep at 6:15pm, I was a bit worried. He slept the whole four hour drive to the hotel. We got to the hotel at 11:30 and since we already had our bath before leaving town, we fed and went straight to bed. He only woke up once. We got up Thursday morning and the team had about an hour drive to Monroe for our 2:00pm match. He slept the hour there and got a little fussy at lunch. We got to the venue, set up our outdoor tent and the girls took over. He was awesome and slept a little here and there and played on his play mat. We headed back to our hotel for a bath and bedtime. He went straight to sleep at about 8:15pm. He didn't fight it at all as he was exhausted. He slept a personal best of 10 hours straight. Woke up in the morning for a feeding and back to sleep for another hour and a half. WOW!! Dude was tired.
Friday morning, the team left the hotel around 10:00am to head to New Orleans. It is about a 3 hour drive and he slept the whole way. So, slept 10 hours straight plus 1.5 hours then was awake for 2 hours and back to sleep. Whoa. We met up with my cousin Dana and her daughter Faith for lunch. He was pretty good, a little fussy through lunch and then had a huge crying fit in the car on the way to the hotel. Really, it was the only one of the entire trip and he was just hungry. We got to the hotel and took a break for a couple hours. We headed for downtown New Orleans for dinner. He slept through a very loud St. Patty's Day parade and the entire time we were downtown. He had another good nights sleep after that too.
Saturday was a huge day for him. We spent the entire day from 12:00pm until about 7:00pm on the sand courts. The girls took care of him the entire day and they just bragged about how great of a baby he was. My little guy loves the ladies and had nothing but a blast on our beautiful day. I am so very thankful for the girls on my team that helped out the entire weekend. I couldn't have done it without their help. Needless to say, he slept the entire 6 hours home! We are off to Atlanta and Charleston on Wednesday. Daddy gets to go this time...woohoo!!
Today was a lazy day for us although we did make it out to cheer one our softball team today. I was excited to be home and here are some photos of our VERY happy little guy. I just love him to pieces...
