Last week, Wyatt started to smile. He usually smiles for momma and daddy as he is starting to recognize our voice and maybe even our appearance. His little smile just melts my heart and I love it. I haven't caught a great smile in a picture yet but I'm trying. I've taken a few videos but can't seem to figure out how to get them on here. I'm sure it isn't hard as I just haven't taken the time to learn.
Yesterday, we pulled all his 3-6 months clothes out and washed them all. We have a growing boy and it won't be much longer before he can longer fit into his 0-3 month clothes!
Last night was his first night in his room in his crib. I mentioned it in passing to daddy and come bed time, it just seemed to be worth trying. He cat napped all day yesterday and never really got a good nap in like he did the two days prior (a 4 hour nap both days). Needless to say, he was exhausted last night and we even started our bedtime routine early just so he didn't fall asleep dirty. Anyway, he slept from 8:30pm until 4:00am in his crib. I should have taken a picture but I put him down one way and he woke up a whole 90 degrees the other way. I know he didn't have a crying fit or anything because I barely slept last night because I was always looking at the monitor to make sure he was breathing. He got up at 4:00am and was back asleep in his crib at 4:45am until about 7:30am. Woohoo... I would call night one a true success. Honestly, I don't think he cared at all but I sure didn't really like it. I will get over it and am excited for him to start sleeping in his room. It was nice not having to tip toe around in our bedroom and bathroom after he fell asleep.
Today, we weighed him on a scale at work. Ready for this...
He weighed 10 lbs 7 oz at his two week doctor's appointment.
Today (7 weeks old) he weighed 14 lbs 4 oz....97th percentile
Whoa, buddy... we are growing a human weed!! He goes back to the doctor next Wednesday!!
