34 Week Bumpdate

It has been a great, productive week. One more week in November and I couldn't be more excited. I could hardly wait until after Thanksgiving to start decorating for Christmas. If we weren't hosting people over, I probably would have done it before. Red is my favorite color so Christmas is extra exciting. All the decor has been brought out of the attic and most of it has been placed in their new home for the next month or so. The only thing I am missing is the fresh tree. I am waiting on Hubby so we can go get it and put it up together. I am also missing firewood so we can start a fire and sip hot chocolate on cold nights since we don't turn on our heat. I LOVE WINTER (in the south, it gets cold enough without all the ice and snow...PERFECT!)

Our little turkey is growing, growing, and growing. He is getting pretty cramped in my belly and starting to poke and push to the point that it hurts. I sometimes have to poke back to relieve the stretched out leg or arm. He gets the hiccups often, sometimes multiple times a day. I'm pretty sure that he is head down because of how low I feel the hiccups. We will see Wednesday.

34 week Bumpdate...

  • How far along? 34 weeks 2 days... 3-6 to go! Next appointment is Wednesday.
  • Baby is the size of a... Butternut Squash
  • Total weight gain: um, 35+.. Thanksgiving probably did a little damage to on this area.
  • Maternity clothes? yes, loving my maternity jeans lately. I also pulled two tops from my pre-prego closet and was able to wear them.. hello stretchy shirts!! :)
  • Stretch marks? nope, please oh please no stretch marks! My belly button inched so bad last night that I just knew I was going to wake up to a mark but nope, I'm good.
  • Sleep: Amazing! I have NO issue sleeping in my bed. I usually choose to go to bed because my back hurts so bad from sitting or just walking around.
  • Best moment this week:  um.. Thanksgiving, shopping, my mother-in-law visiting, being off work and able to enjoy the holiday. My mother-in-law joined us Tuesday and we went baby shopping. She bought us the Fisher Price swing we wanted. Ahh, we love it! She also bought us a diaper trashcan, some GREAT books, and bottles. She was so generous with her gifts. She also brought with her some books and outfits. He is so spoiled already. Wednesday, we went shopping again and found some final things for the nursery, Christmas decor, and some clothes. I prepared part of the Thanksgiving meal Wednesday so I didn't have everything to do on Thursday.  Thanksgiving was great as I made my first meal with guest. We pulled out the fine China and platters from our wedding and cooked some awesome food. I think my signature sweet potato casserole was the favorite. It is so good. We had a nice relaxing evening watching football, playing cards, and hubby's favorite Monopoly. Hubby begged to head out to Walmart for all the madness but I was pretty firm on me not going. I was exhausted from cooking and my feet where swollen. I had little sausages for toes. However, his mom and I made it to Walmart Friday around 10ish and we scored 2 out of the 3 items hubby wanted. Not bad for sleeping in and still getting the deals. :) We went to lunch with a high school friend of mine and her family. She is expecting 4 days after me so it was great to talk all the prego talk with her. It doesn't sound like she will make it through December without meeting her baby girl. I'm a bit jealous but she has been measuring ahead for a few weeks now. She even brought a gift. It was so sweet of her. Friday ended with me not being able to wait ANY longer and pulling out the Christmas stuff. All my pumpkins, orange and brown were packed away quickly and I pulled out all the reindeer, snowmen, and red/silver I could find. :) I'm only missing the tree and since Hubby is out of town, I'm waiting until he gets back. The couch has been moved and tree stand is already in place with the skirt. Ha!
Hubby and I on Thanksgiving... we sorta clashed with our colors!

  • Miss anything? I still miss working out.. my body just isn't the same. I mean, it isn't suppose to be but still.
  • Movement: yes, yes, yes... I love it!
  • Food cravings:  Sweets, Sweets, Sweets!
  • Food aversions: salads
  • Gender: BOY!!!! BOY!!!! BOY!!!! Wyatt Christopher Ouren!!
  • Labor signs: nope, none yet!
  • Symptoms: the back pain has been minimal this week. It was the worst Thanksgiving night just because I had been so busy and active cooking. Minimal swelling and an unpleasant symptom of gas. Hmm.. not so cute!
  • Belly Button in or out? half out, half BARELY in. It is almost flat!
  • Wedding rings on or off? off, off, off! I hate it!
  • Baby Purchases this week? oh boy, yes! I mentioned all the things Hubby's mom got us. I bought some books on sale. We kinda have a book thing as I made some bookshelves that we wanted to fill up. It is almost full which I wouldn't have thought this early. Heehee! The NURSERY IS COMPLETE!!! :) Pictures to come now that I have completed my last DIY project. I'm pretty pumped about how it turned out and honestly so glad we aren't having a little girl. I have no idea how I would decorate the nursery because I'm not all about the pink, princesses, girly stuff.. at all!!
  • Looking forward to: Our ultrasound and doctor's appointment on Wednesday. We haven't had an ultrasound in um, 15ish weeks. It seems so long ago so we are pumped to see our little guy and how he is measuring and positioned.
