3 Weeks Old

Wyatt turned 3 weeks yesterday. It is hard to believe it as it feels like maybe a week has past at most! He weighed in at a whopping 10 lbs 7.9 ozes and 22 inches on Tuesday at the doctor. He is a growing boy that eats great...can't you tell?

We have started to experience some serious gas problems and it seems to be our only problem. Wyatt is a very good baby as he likes just about anything. He obviously hates the gas and pushes so hard that he cries. It really is the only time he cries. We went for our 2 week check-up on Tuesday and she recommended some gas drops that seem to ease most of the pain. We use those and gripe water along with leg exercises, tummy laying, back patting, and warm baths. He is a bit unsure of bath time so part of the time he is content and towards the end he hates it. Anyway, gas is something they eventually grow out of so I can't wait until then because his faces, extreme pushing, and pain kills me. Daddy and I cheer for every burp, poop, and fart just for him to get some relief.  He seems  to be in the most pain at night. We had our first "sleep in the recliner" kind of night this week which was followed by two awesome nights of sleep. After the recliner night, he slept in the co-sleeper between hubby and I which was fine because we needed sleep and Wyatt didn't care for the pack n play. We did go back to the pack n play last night and he did good until about 5:00am when killer gas won the battle. ugh! He is also a seriously loud sleeper where he grunts and moans constantly. We may be introducing him to his own bedroom this week. We will see.

Other than his gas and sleeping, he has been great during the day. We have started getting him out and about which has been great for me. I usually feed him and then know that I am good for about the next 3 hours. This week, we went for a couple family walks, the doctor, the hospital to meet baby TJ, work, his first practice, the grocery store, and a couple family lunch dates. He has slept through just about everything.

We have moved on from newborn diapers and clothes. We are kinda in an in between stage where newborn is too small but 0-3 months is too big. oh well!

I leave you with some weekly pictures and the fact that I have 13 pounds until I'm back at pre-prego weight. I'm pumped!
