38 Week Bumpdate

My doctor's appointment on Wednesday went good. I'm still measuring two weeks ahead so right at 40 weeks. His heartbeat was a strong 150 bpm. My blood pressure was elevated but not high enough to cause concern which is a relief. Doc also let me know that we will not be inducing unless I'm beyond my due date so bring on the water breakage and/or naturally going into labor.

A quick shout out to two of my friends who delivered their baby girls last night. My teammate, Shaniquwa (Due January 2nd) gave birth to Kori Teagan at 12:14am. She weighed in at 7 lbs 14 oz. Hubby and I stopped by this afternoon to see little Kori and momma.  Just hours before, my other friend, Jill gave birth to her little girl, Violet Elizabeth weighing in at 7 lbs 11 oz. She was due January 8th. My theory knowing and seeing that I'm still very pregnant is that boys need a little longer. :) Speaking of still being pregnant.. here is an updated prediction chart...

Here's an updated COUNTDOWN...

• 3 Days until CHRISTMAS
  
• 1.5 weeks until NEW YEARS (10 days)
  
• 2 weeks until DUE DATE - January 4th! (13 days)
  
• 3 weeks until Doctor will induce if I'm STILL pregnant - no later than Jan. 11th! (20 days)

• How far along? 38 weeks 1 day... 2 to go, 3 at most!!! 

• Baby is the size of a... Watermelon... looks like it too!!

• Total weight gain: 45 still.. I didn't gain any from appointment to appointment. :)

• Maternity clothes? oh yes, by far the most comfortable. Also, hubby's clothes. I was thinking the other day that it feels like its been forever since I've gone shopping for clothes. It really has because I'm not talking about for maternity clothes.

• Stretch marks? whomp...whomp.. yelp.. but I'm still lotioning like crazy and ITCHING like crazy. You aren't suppose to scratch and I don't but it is killing me. I itch almost all the time right now. It is frustrating!

• Sleep: back to sleeping great. Gosh, I'm lucky because I know it won't be long until I'm up all night.

• Best moment this week:  ya know, just waiting and relaxing... Fortunately, work is really slow so I pretty much did half days this week and spent a lot of time relaxing. It has been nice. 

• Miss anything? mostly just working out and being comfortable. 

• Movement: yes, yes, yes... my belly dances!!

• Food cravings:  sweets, sweets, sweets!!

• Food aversions: salads.. I'm ready to start liking salads again. Ha!

• Gender: BOY!!!! BOY!!!! BOY!!!! Wyatt Christopher Ouren!!

• Labor signs:  ya know, not much going on. Walking helps.

• Symptoms: not much of anything... the back pain has been minimal this week. I have started to get hot flashes and wow, I GET HOT!! I still have some hip pain here and there but nothing like last week.

• Belly Button in or out? flat and turning into a complete outtie! 

• Wedding rings on or off? off, off, off! not going to go back on until after he arrives. 

• Baby Purchases this week? nothing this week.. We are done buying!!

• Looking forward to: Wyatt's arrival!! I can't wait to meet this little guy and hold him in my arms.
