So now that I am almost finish with my first pregnancy.. I thought I would put together a Pregnancy Must-Have list. Obviously, it doesn't encompass EVERYTHING that you will need but I definitely relied on these products the most.
Palmer' Cocoa Butter Formula - I LOVE this stuff. We had a rough relationship at the beginning but I felt like I needed a hard-core lotion for my stretching skin. I love really thin, not watery lotion but one that dries and doesn't leave you feeling sticky. Palmer's is very thick and Vaseline like so it was hard to get over at first. Nonetheless, I'm on my 4th jar and although it hasn't prevented stretch marks because they have started to appear in my 35th week, I still love it and would use it for future pregnancies. I would hate to know what my skin would look like from all the stretching without it. I do only use it at night because it is so thick.
Maternity Tanks - I have three from Maternity Motherhood that I wear under everything. They are more important now that I am bigger as they fully cover my belly. They are SUPER long and stretchy. Although they aren't "official" nursing tops, they will still be great for after baby is born. Don't go through your pregnancy without these!
Yoga Pants - I have these from Target. I actually have three pair - thank goodness for different color options. ha! They are stretchy and so comfy.
Snoogle - I invested in this WONDERFUL pillow around 20 weeks. I wouldn't say that I needed it because my belly needed support but my back needed support. I have had the worst back pain throughout my entire pregnancy. The only relief that I have found is lying in bed with my snoogle. It completely takes ALL the pain away and I sleep AWESOME! I've never had a problem sleeping and swear by this pillow.
Prenatal Vitamin - I take the Spring Valley OTC vitamin. I don't have any experience with any other vitamin but I think they are a must-have pre-pregnancy and during pregnancy. Of course, they have many benefits for growing baby but as a bonus your nails, hair, and skin will improve too. I also see a difference in my eye lashes! Ha!
Flip Flops - Now that my belly is big and oh so ever in my way, I couldn't get through the last part without my flip flops. It is December and you can find me in my flip flops 90% of the time. I hate bending over and even thinking about putting on shoes. When I did my initial maternity clothes shopping, I bought some skinny jeans to wear with boats because I'd be pregnant in the winter and who doesn't love boats, right? Wrong. I haven't worn those jeans yet because there is no way I'm wearing my boats. I also might feel a little different if the weather was colder but this November/December has been SO warm! I'm thankful.
Crackers/Snacks - I am the most hungry in the morning and between breakfast and lunch. I wouldn't have survived without having crackers/ snack in my desk at work. I seriously ate them everyday because I couldn't make it to lunch.
Sargento Sticks - I personally LOVE the cheddar and mozzarella mixed sticks. I've gone through some bags of these things. I usually pot one open after work while waiting for dinner to be cooked.
